Make Your Own Extra-Strength Mittens!!

Simple Tip for Everyday Living:
So here's the deal.  It's cold.  Real cold.  At least where I'm from.  Gloves are surprisingly expensive (at least the nice thick ones). Now, you can find them cheap, but they're normally cheap for a reason.  'Cause they're thin as a wafer and won't keep any of your little piggies from crying wah!! wah!!! wah!!! wah!! all the way home. So here is my two cents : Layer your thin glovies together!  Ingenious, I know. Also, gives a nice home to all those gloves who have lost their pair ( or ones you think are ugly).

Enjoy!

Seriously

This scene is going to make me ball like a baby in the movies.  Like forril...Be prepared for major Harry Potter spamage coming up...I'm in a funk.  Also, F-R-I-E-N-D-S.

Don't say you weren't warned.

When Harry holds the snitch up to his lips and says "I am about to die."  Ugh, just rip my little heart right out!

I'm kind of obsessed...

with hot rollers. I just...can't stop (and you can't make me!) It goes SO much faster than curling my hair manually.  I dunno, but I think it's safe to say they were a good "investment."  Here are some more pictures of me messing around with them ('cause I know y'all love lookin' at my face as much as I love to).

I need to work on my bangs though, those are always tricky little buggers.  Also, sorry they don't really document my hair very well, more so just m'face.  This was before I had my camera so I only had my phone phone.

Also sorry for lack of updates lately! Promise to rectify this issue soon :)

Little F.Y.I. : the hot rollers I use are Conair Extreme Heat, and they are both fantastic and adorable! Win - win-win situation (for you Office fans out there who know what I'm dishing out)

So Proud of Myself...

I could have bought SO much stuff online today. Seriously. Online shopping is dangerous in the wrong hands people....but I resisted!! Literally for two sites I entered all my information and all I had to do was click the "place my order" button and the beauties would have been mine....

BUT I convinced myself. Not until I make money can I spend money. Easy as that.

It's easier to spend than to save. Remember that folks...remember that.

Now, wasn't that fun? I should have more exciting posts soon. Promise!

I really do hate being so materialistic.  Just sayin'

Baby it's Cold Outside...

Gosh, got some serious thunder thighs in this picture.  I wish I could say it's an optical illusion but alas, I cannot.  In the words of Ross Gellar, " I'm just carrying a little extra holiday weight."

I made this necklace meself and it's super easy!!  Bought the skeleton key at a flea market back home for a dollar.  Placed on silver chain.  Voila! Masterpiece! Your welcome ;)

This outfit didn't photograph as cute as I feel it looked in person. Ah well, such is life! First day back to class after a nice 3 day weekend (thanks, MLK!)

Sweater: Thrifted
Button Up: Thrifted but originally from Target
Jeans: Forever 21 ($7 dollars people!!)
Hair: leftover hot rollers

AND it's Tuesday...so I only have 1 class. Unfortunately it's Genetics...bitches.

Also, me and my roomie cut our gas bill in half this month! Eff yes! Soo pumped!

All of these pictures look the same...

I was bored, so I put my hair in hot rollers and was pleasantly surprised by the results!

  • top: thrifted
  • belt: thrifted
  • skirt: thrifted (sense a trend? he he) but from Target Mossimo line
No shoes, cause I never ventured outside since it was a ridiculously freezing tundra outside. I'm watching Everwood right now - I haven't seen this show in forever!

xoxo!

The Schedule

A'ight, here she is. My glorious schedule this semester!

O. Chem:
  • going to be tough, no doubt about it.  Luckily, I have the same professor I had for chemistry last semester and he seems pretty cool.  For some reason the lab for this class has me really uneasy though.  I haven't had it yet, I'm just really nervous for it, even though I've already endured and survived 2 chem labs already.  Sweat it off gurll!! Also, I'm practically a celebritiy in this class.  I know at least half the people taking it
Personal Finance:
  • I don't think anyone can deny I need this class.  Looking forward to it!  Don't know a soul in the class, but the professor makes up for it.
Art History
  • Taking with GBF#1 so we always have a good time, AND the class is really interesting.  Not to mention I feel so worldly now.  Double awesome!
Genetics:
  • Seriously...going to be a bitch.  But if I devote time to it, I should survive....wish me luck!  I met a nice girl in the class though who seems just as lost as I am so we worked together with a kid who I've had in a class before on our problem worksheet.  Yay for intimidating professors forging friendships!
This semester is going to be SO much better than last. Hells. yes.

Twice in one day?

Just thought I would update again to tell you guys that today I finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

I am also on page 2 of East of Eden.

Just goes to show what is possible when you put a little effort into what you want to do :)

Was it as good for you as it was for me? ;)

you know you love me, xoxo

Okay...forril...Getin Back on Track!

I. will. keep. up. with. this.

Call it a New Year's Resolution if you must, but it's just gonna happen.

Other Resoluions:
  • Read 35 books this year
  • Keep healthy
  • Get organized!!!!!
  • Keep a budget/track my money
  • Have an awesome year :)
The usual, but there they are and I'm sticking to 'em!

A'ight, on that note here is the dent I've made in he 35 books this year, I'll try and keep a running list

  1. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  2. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
That's it so far...but I'm halfway through The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I think I'll write book reviews after I finish books as well. (Are you sitting on the edge of your seat in anticipation?!)

Over break I re-read all 7 Harry Potter books.  And kind of got paid to do so.  Overall, it was a highly enjoyable break.

Will update later with a rundown of my classes this semester...it already seems SO much better than last semester.  The fact that i survived it makes me feel like I can get through anything.
