1. I have a completely unfounded obsession with the Kennedy's. I really don't know why, but if there is a history special on them or anything pertaining to them on, I'm in for the night ;). Maybe 'cause I have an odd obsession with all things tragic.
2. Whenever people make fun of Lost or say they hated the finale a little piece of me dies. It came on at a very emotional time in my life and the themes that it is about honestly helped me through a lot. Turns out Lost is excellent therapy. Haters to the left.
3. The Killers are my favoritest band and I get really excited when other people listen to them too, and bummed when all they really know is Mr. Brightside. Not that I don't love that song, but they have soo many others that speak to me more lyrically. Mr. Brightside will forever and always remind me of Summer '05.
4. In sixth or seventh grade I watched the Fellowship of the Ring every. single. day. Literally. I woke up, started it, got ready for school, came home from school and finished it. Now I only watch it like..once a year, but it still holds a soft spot in my heart.
5. I think people think I'm much smarter than I actually am.
6. My sister and brother are two of my best friends :) I realize now that that's not always the case. I enjoy hanging out with them and going to concerts and movies with them. They both make me laugh till I cry and handle standing in my shadow reasonably well ;) Not everyone can be the favorite!
7. I know Harry Potter pretty much better than anything else in my life. Don't judge! I've read the books more times than I count and everytime I love it more and more. It kills me a little knowing I never got my letter :(
8. I've known my best friend since I was 2! I can't remember a time of my life without her in it and I hope it stays that way :) We have some pretty awesome stories and adventures and although I can talk a lot of shit she has helped me through a lot and done a lot for me for which I will always be appreciative.
9. I think only the people in my family understand the true significance of the phrase "Turtle Power" but I still smile everytime I get a text from one of them that says it <3
10. I love my family. I feel like it took going to college to truly appreciate them. Even though we have some ridiculous traditions that we were embarassed to carry on for as long as we did (I'm pretty sure once they started recruiting us to dress as Santa we should have ended it ;) ), I always look back on them and laugh and realize I'm extremely fortunate to have them. After talking to a lot of people about what their familes do for the holidays I never realized how badass we were and how many memories we have together!
11. I have always called Santa "Ho Ho." Apparently this also is not common. It's just what he was always referred to in our house.
12. I'm a dog person. I like cats, but they don't like me back. When I'm around them my body pretty much starts shutting down. Why would you want a pet that doesn't always want your love and affection? One of my favorite parts of going home is walking in the door and seeing how excited Fred is to see me! I love my pup :)
13. I don't know why I didn't declare biology as my major straight off the bat. We were clearly meant to be.
14. I've only left Ohio twice :( Once sophomore year of high school to go to Disney with band, and then last year to go to Chicago. I wouldn't mind spending an extended amount of time in Chicago, I've thought about applying to grad schools there.
15. I'm terrified to graduate college.
16. At least one member of my family has owned a trailer in Marble Head Since before until my senior year in high school when we sold ours. I miss it :(( Some of my best childhood memories are on the lake.
17. I feel my eyes are overly moist. I cry when I laugh a LOT and really just a gentle breeze makes 'em tear up lol.
18. I get called Pam so often that I have responded to it a couple times in a class then felt really awkward afterwards.
19. I fear I may be a hoarder. I have at least 10 memorie boxes stashed under my bed at home that I can't part with. I guess I'm sentimental.
20. I am very trusting. I'll trust you before I know you but if you fuck me over you'll pretty much never get it back. Sorry.
21. I know I'm a pushover, and I'm okay with that.
22. Damn it this is long. ummm..There are several philosophies I believe in. Everything happens for a reason. Good things happen to good people. Nothing is irreversible.
23. My biggest turn off is pessism. I can not handle debbie downers.
24. I love the 1920s -1970. It's my favorite period to learn about in history. Roaring twenties seemed badass, and as much as the depression sucked it's interesting. If you don't love learning about WWII there is probably something wrong with you. 50's are my favorite decade, and then the JFK/Civil Rights stuff of the 60's I love to learn about. I blame my love of history on my sophomore history teacher. He was awesome. Not to mention all the stories Amber has taught me and the trivia my Dad spews out all the time :) Oh yeah, I also love the Romanovs.
25. I love music! All genres. I don't think I would be able to walk to class without my jams. If the right song comes on I like to picture myself walking in a movie during one of those montagy scenes where the character is just lost in thought or something. I find this perfectly normal.
26. I never write lowercase r's. They always, always, always have to be capital, even if it's in the middle of a word.
27. The only details of my wedding that I know are 3 songs that I want played at some point during the reception.
28. I've had a stuffed animal pig since the day I was born named Piggy (original, I know). It's all his fault that pigs are my favorite animal.
29. Middle school was the worse period of my life, until 2010 came along. If I could ever erase an entire year from my life it would be that one.
30. I'm am terrified of fire! and ice. polar opposites but equally frightening.
these may be edited. or moved to facebook. i dunno.
I'm going to make a comment on your entire list. Ahem...
ReplyDelete1. I, too, have an obsession with all things tragic and am fascinated my the Kennedy's. Suffice to say, you have great taste in tragic things. (re: Titanic)
2. Although I never got into Lost, I can still appreciate it and your obsession. Whatever helps a brother out.
3. Summer '05! I totally agree, that's what I almost always say everytime I hear it. The Killers are the tits, and anyone who thinks otherwise shall perish...or at least behold my wrath.
4. I remember this. I thought you were odd. But it is really good!
5. I think you don't give yourself enough credit.
6. You and Brian are my besties as well, and I too have learned what a rare gem this is. But I still hate when you borrow my clothes without asking and nobody stands in your shadow, you two bitches are still standing in mine.
7. I conquor. Why can't we have gone to Hogwarts? I would have gotten "O"'s on all my O.W.L.'s!
8. I have to agree. We do talk some smack, but I love her anyway. Frenemies for ever.
ReplyDelete9. Me too =] I was actually thinking of this being my next tattoo! Although it may seem awfully random to an awfully lot of people.
10. Tots agree. I love all of our traditions, my favorite being waking up at 4 in the morning to open Christmas presents! Happy Christmas, Harry!
11. Dude, tell me about it. I've dropped "Ho Ho" a few times and all I got was awkward stares of confusion.
12. Frederick is the greatest dog ever =] I love him, especially in his old age, when he's finally warming up to us and being more affectionate (and not out of fear, like he is with you.)
13. I also have felt you and Biology are soul mates. I'm you finally realize that.
14. You CANNOT go to grad school in Chicago! Oh please! Say it isn't so! Just visit there.
15. Don't be. It may seem terrifying, but you'll pull through. You have to support me, remember?
16. Fishing, game nights, corn on the cob, boating, the sand bar, swings, the dock, Wal*Mart (which magnifigence what just magnified up there for some reason...), the ghost town gift shops, driving down the 5mph street on dad's lap, ohhh the good ol' days.
17. Maybe this has to do with their gurth? They are the size of the moon. Dobby eyes. But I second what you're saying. You do tear up quite often.
ReplyDelete18. Because you are Pam! Duhhhhhh.
19. At least we know we will have or 15 minutes of fame on the t.v. show! In our matching outfits (but different colors!) I'm sentimental as well, embrace it.
20. I have the same flaw. Tis both a blessing and a curse.
21. Me too, sista. Me too.
22. and those are all very good philosophies. I tend to live my life out in song lyrics. Those are kind of like philosphies.
23. That's funny you put this in here, but not really. It's just humorous because it's so freakin' true.
24. History is the shiz-nit. I believe it stemmed from our history trivia with faja at the dinner table after eating some of his delicious grub.
25. I also find this perfectly normal and pass no judgement on you. I do the same thing whilst listening to music in my car. I imagine myself in a movie scene and play it out in my head. And! Most of the time it's tragic =] Shocker!
26. You do infact do this. I've even pointed it out to you a few times. I wouldn't be shocked if you forgot what they looked like. (Which is like this : "r" )Just in case.
27. This doesn't surprise me either, but not that that's bad or anything. But I have to ask, what three?
28. Baby seal is also the reason why seals are my favorite animal, I guess we were just very impressionable or very lazy to come up with something else.
29. I think Middle School has to be the worst for everyone. I would erase that as well. Some dark moments. And the first two years of high school as well. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
30. I think you're fear of fire and ice is endearing and quirky. It's why I loves ya =]

Nice song choices, I second all of them! And! I just thought of another trailer memory! Our fish that got away! It's probably prehistoric size now, still swimming with a hook in it's lip, seeking revenge on us...
